1. Painful dog, osteoarthritis and quality of life

I have a thirteen and a half year old chi-mutt. She has arthritis, confirmed by a vet, the vet already had x-rays, an office visit, and meds (rimadyl). The Rimadyl had side effects for my dog. I took her off. She is on DS Glucosamine/Chondroitin, and an aspirin a day. She is in pain all the time, elimination in an upright position is nearly impossible. I have to spoon feed her. She is eating and drinking, no problem. I am concerned that the weakness in her hind legs is so bad. Her quality of life is not too great. What can I do for this stage of her life to allow her to be more comfortable?
